The Addis Ababa City Administration Cooperative Agency (AACACA) reported that various agricultural and industrial products have sold in selected areas all over the cities in the past seven weeks, worth more than 48 million ETB. The Sunday Market allows consumer cooperatives to trade agricultural and industrial items in 11 sub-cities. The Sunday Market is directed at helping ease the inflation strain from the residents of Addis Ababa.
The Sunday Market is a popup market in different locations around Addis Ababa where merchants set up their goods to be sold and block one lane (cars have to use only one road). Although it is called Sunday Market, it is available on Saturday and Sunday. People from all over visit these markets in search of lots of things. You can find a variety of relatively cheap items such as grains, vegetables, fruit, butter, eggs, honey, flour, cooking oil, a variety of spices, clothes, shoes, children’s bicycles, used furniture, accessories for women, and many more.
