Challenge Fund for Youth Employment offers a 10-50% financial grant to projects creating job solutions for youth.

Launched in 2019, Challenge Fund for Youth Employment is a 6-year program funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It supports employment opportunities for young men and women in Africa and the Middle East. Ethiopia’s labor market is identified by high levels of minimal employment, widespread & low productive self-employment, and poor level of wage employment.

CFYE invites the private sector, civil society, and knowledge institutions to submit proposals until Jan 31, 2022. CFYE aims to tackle challenges for creating scalable solutions for more & better jobs for the youth. It will grant projects that create, match, or improve at least 250 jobs. Youth refers to individuals from 15 – 29 years old. Eligibility criteria include legality, women targets, total targets, job decency, private sector, youth, and more.
