Spotlight of the week – Trio Black Diamonds

December 24, 2021

Trio Black Diamonds is an Ethiopian Women Gymnasts group that is performing incredible circus arts internationally. Tiblet, Selam and Danawit are the Ethiopian contortionists that haven’t been spotlighted enough in our country. They have proven to the world that they are astonishing performers from being the winner of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival to taking part in the Telethon on France 2 to support research and advance science.

These three girls, aged 16 to 22, were born in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. They have been adding invaluable values to the traditional Ethiopian circus with a strong emotional connection to our culture. They were trained at the Sheger Acrobatic School in Addis Ababa. Despite their age, they have been committed to becoming one of the best circus artists since they were a child.  They have succeeded in becoming exceptional artists not only in our country but in Africa and Europe as well.

Trio Black Diamonds are the promising contortionists, circus artists that have delightfully taken up challenging circus arts and turned it into exquisite shows in Africa and Europe at multiple festivals with thousands of audiences. They are many reasons to mention their name on every chance we get but most importantly for representing their country wherever they go. We would like to appreciate their efforts to become exceptional as women circus artists of the new generation and their constant dedication to keep up their energy to be better every day.
