The Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Authority announces maintenance and renovation for its building with ETB 130 million.

January 12, 2022

The Ethiopian Coffee & Tea Authority is located in Mexico and has provided services for more than 40 years. The renovation, expected to be finished within a year, will add modern facilities & new spaces like daycares, cafeteria rooms, a library, and a parking space. The renovation will improve services provided and create a system to save time, money, and energy.

The Ministry of Finance provides the funding, and the Debebe Contractor Company will charge the renovation. The company signed an agreement with the Coffee and Tea Authority and created the design work. Handovers started on January 4. During the refurbishment, services will not stop because most services are automated, and renovations will be done one floor at a time.

Adugna Debela (Ph.D.), Director of the Authority, stated that since the Coffee and Tea Authority has clients from different sectors, renovation is expected to include headquarters to reach technology services and access information from the global market.
