The platform allows all Ethiopian shops to have a digital presence & put Ethiopia on a new digital economic trajectory.

The platform allows all Ethiopian shops to have a digital presence & put Ethiopia on a new digital economic trajectory. The partnerships’ goal is to enable more e-commerce businesses and create fully digitized platforms in Ethiopia.

The need for digital transactions increased due to the pandemic and the Central Banks’ measure to create a cashless society. Ethiopian e-commerce companies have risen to almost 30 and are expected to grow even more. An Electronic Transaction was passed by the Parliament last year, and once approved, it will make it easier for this sector to expand. The Ministry of Revenue is setting up technologies for e-receipts and other e-services to help with this.
