In partnership with the Ministry of Innovation & Technology, the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency launches an e-Service platform.

The Ministry of Innovation and technology and the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency launch an e-Service platform that provides efficient services to the Ethiopian Diaspora Community. The platform offers different services for the Ethiopian diaspora community from any location.

It aims to avoid inconvenience and aid inappropriately engaging Diasporas in national development activities. It provides access to governments, nonprofits, businesses, schools, laboratories, international institutions, and research institutions in Ethiopia & abroad.

The platform is part of the ministry’s digitalization of services in government institutions. The Ethiopian Diaspora Agency aims to use the possibilities and improve participation of the Diaspora members worldwide for Ethiopia’s development.

Ethiopian Diaspora Agency Deputy Director-General Mohammed Endris encouraged the members of Diaspora to work with the agency to fill the gaps reported in data sources and increase to digitalize the agency’s data system.

Yonas Hailu, ICT Development Acting Director General at MoIT, stated that the ministry would continue to provide necessary support and work with the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency to build the country’s digital economy, he pointed out.
