February 7, 2022

Kuva launches Kuva Local in Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, and South Africa to facilitate diaspora trade. Kuva, the decentralized finance (DeFi) peer-to-peer payments network, created Kuva Local with an exclusive partnership with Alliance Insurance.

Users can add electronics, food, clothes, and other items to their cart and deliver them to their preferred location. Kuva’s goals include making cryptocurrency and blockchain-powered products accessible to everyone who owns a phone.

It allows users worldwide to purchase & make low-cost, trans-continental deliveries to Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, & SA. Kuva aims to solve the cost and inconvenience of sending money and goods to relatives back home.

The application is built on blockchain technology that rewards users in the form of the KUVA Coin, the native token of the network. Kuva Local was created to fund the advanced blockchain infrastructure and allow different transactions on the Kuva network.

The platform in new countries helps local businesses and communities by allowing their products to be available to anyone in the world. The company intends to expand its services to other African countries and eventually to different continents.
