Bemnet Yemesgen is an Ethiopian-American Designer, Photographer, and Filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in the creative industry who loves to inspire teams, craft captivating content, and create remarkable experiences.Bemnet has a background in design and creative development. Even though his portfolios reflect mostly innovative designs, his real passion lies in photography and film since he was a little child. He mentions how happy he was using his dad’s 35mm Minolta film camera. Bemnet says, “The world always looks better through the optics of a viewfinder.” As a creative designer, Bemnet tends to think outside the box in his personal life. He has a few philosophies created based on his past experiences. His theory “Go For Broke” relates to his visible success stories as he likes to dive into extreme risks to create something with all his heart, mind, and soul. Aside from his risk-taker personality, he cares about people, especially his work environment. Bemnet values creating a positive connection with people he works with and hopes to invest his time and resources to adapt and form meaningful relationships with people worldwide.
Bemnet has had the privilege of working with high-class brands such as Adidas, Girl Effect ( Nike Foundation ), and USA Today. He has worked on 8+ campaigns with Adidas, namely Adidas Iconics 360, Adidas AdiColor – 360, Adidas Skateboarding, Adidas Originals Brooklyn Net Launch, Adidas Boots X Kendrick Lamar, and a lot more. He has also rebranded USA Today, a brand that reaches more than 50 million consumers each month, and Discord, a platform with more than 100 million monthly active users. He also worked on a Digital Campaign for the Ethiopian Prime Minister’sMinister’s Office. He produced Television Commercials, Print and Digital Campaigns for the Medemer Initiative taken by the prime minister a month after receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. He has done branding and campaigns for other brands, such as Strengths Live, CAOCL – Marine Corps App, Then By DMA, 360 Live Media, and much more.
Bemnet recently joined Twitter as the newly created global head of creative strategy and brand identity. He worked at Discord as the Creative Director for a while and has rebranded Discord and run a top-notch campaign named Imagine A Place. The Twitter Creatives Team is excited to have Bemnet turn around their team.
