Spotlight of the week – Lydia Asrat

March 4, 2022

Lydia Asrat manages various artists and occasionally songwrites, and has been managing Doja Cat since 2017.

Lydia Asrat has been overseeing Doja Cat and 10 other signees. Lydia has managed Doja since 2017, worked as A&R on the albums ‘Hot Pink’ and ‘Planet Her,’ and even co-wrote “Say So,” the viral hit that launched Doja to mainstream stardom. Lydia has partnered with Warner Chapel and started a joint venture publishing company called Lost + Found. Lydia is not only a manager for the Artists but goes beyond to make sure their music hits the top list. She has said so on her Instagram Bio: “Manager and So on”.

We appreciate Lydia for standing out as an Artist Manager, a role that isn’t really done by many Ethiopian women. Let’s give it up for her immense efforts!
