Ethiopians Deso Gelmisa and Haftu Teklu win the Paris Marathon and Barcelona Half Marathon, respectively.

Deso Gelmisa is a 24-year-old long-distance runner who competed in several marathons in Dubia, Porto, Dalian, Chicago, and more. He achieved his personal best with a time of 2:05:07, a 14-second improvement, at the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris.

Haftu Teklu is a 26-year-old athlete who competed in 1500m, 3000m, 10,000m, and 10 km races. He recently won the Barcelona Half Marathon for the second consecutive year and broke the world record with a time of 59:06. This was the 32nd eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona, an elite World Athletics Label race. This record time gave Haftu the ninth-best time of this season for this distance.
