Ethiopia signs an MoU with the European Business Forum Ethiopia.

The European Business Forum provides several opportunities to allow a more constructive and open dialogue with the Government of Ethiopia. It offers several options to allow a more productive and open dialog with the Government of Ethiopia. EUPFE provides a platform for the private sector to address challenges through constructive and open dialogue. Its efforts built private sector infrastructures like the logistics sector, human capital, and regulatory framework.

It signed an MoU with the Ethiopian Government to foster cooperation between MoF and the private sector. It was signed by H.E. Ms. Semereta Sewasew, State Minister of Finance, and Mr. Ben Depraetere, Chairperson of the Board of EUBFE (European Business Forum in Ethiopia). The MoU is expected to strengthen the longstanding partnership with the European Union and Ethiopia. The partnership focuses on developing investment and the private sector to build more institutes.

H.E. Ms. Semereta stated that the Everything but Arms (EBA) is an initiative of the European Union under which all imports to the E.U. from the Least Developed Countries are duty-free. EBA is an opportunity being used by several companies based in Ethiopia. This is among several efforts made by the EUBFE that provides a platform to address challenges and promote Ethiopia as an attractive business destination for E.U. investors and companies.
