Awash Bank is among the 2022 World’s Best Banks in Africa by Global Finance.

Global Finance selects Ethiopia’s Awash Bank as one of its 2022 World’s Best Banks in Africa. Awash Bank is among the largest private banks in Ethiopia, with over 446 branches across Ethiopia. It is the only financial institution from Ethiopia, and one of the 36 African banks picked for this title.

Awash Bank was chosen based on objective and subjective criteria. The objective criteria included asset growth, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development, and product innovation. The subjective criteria’s included the views of equity analysts, credit rating analysts, banking consultants, and other industry professionals.

The 29th annual awards full report will be available in print for Global Finance’s magazine’s May and digital editions. Winners will be acknowledged on October 15, 2022, at the Awards Ceremony held in Washington, DC, during the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings.
