Africa’s Best Brands selects three African companies among its most admired 2022 Brand Africa 100. Brand Africa is an intergenerational NGO aiming to transform the continent’s image by highlighting Africa’s competitiveness and connecting Africa to the world. This 12th edition recognizes the leading African brands in their industry sectors and will be [ublished in the June 2022 issue of African Business magazine. The top African brands are MTN, Dangote Industries Limited, and DSTV from South Africa and Nigeria.

MTN is Africa’s largest mobile network operator and is the most admired African brand. The company provides voice, data, fintech, digital, enterprise, wholesale, and API services to over 270 million customers in 17 countries. Dangote Industries Limited is a multinational industrial conglomerate and received the most admired African brand in symbolizing African pride. The conglomerate has multiple industries such as cement manufacturing, sugar refining, salt refining, oil refinery, poly sacks, fertilizer, and more. DSTV is a sub-Saharan video entertainment company that won the most admired African media brand. It received this recognition for the second time. DSTV is part of an entertainment powerhouse called MultiChoice, Africa’s leading media company.
