The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) or TotalEnergies AFCON is Africa’s most important international men’s association football tournament held every two years. Dawa Hotessa and Captain Shemeles Bekele sealed Ethiopia’s victory with goals in the first half of the match. Dawa Hotessa scored the first goal in the first 21 minutes, and Shemeles Bekele scored the second goal five minutes before halftime. Ethiopia is at the top of the AFCON Qualification Group D list with a better goal difference, followed by Malawi, Guinea, and Egypt, with three points each.
