The bravery to use multiple mediums continues, and this time it’s Oil, Fabric, and Acrylic to depict women and their traditional private moments.
Hana is an artist who uses traditional materials, beautiful fabrics, and vibrant colors to create a multidimensional experience that honors her childhood. Hana studied at the Abyssinia School of Fine Art and Design and the Ale School of Fine Art in Addis Ababa before graduating with a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University. Hana’s iconic “Substance in Ethiopia,” a series of paintings with collage elements and a textural focus was showcased at Fridman Gallery from April – May 2022. Her artworks invite anyone to take in different aspects of her experience. It includes the physical and environmental characteristics of landscapes and portraits.
The flowers blooming on top of the fabrics used in her artworks, the human element in nature’s serenity intertwined with colors that scream peace, are breathtaking. Hana’s works perfectly depict it, and we adore her for it!
