Sadio Mane is a 30-year-old striker who plays for the Premier League club Liverpool, the Senegal national team, and the German football team, FC Bayern Munich. Sadio is Senegal’s all-time top goal scorer and the third African to score over 100 Premier League goals. He was one of the vital players on the Senegal team that beat Egypt’s Salah-captained team in the 2021/2022 Africa Cup of Nations final and a 2022 World Cup play-off.
He recently received his second African Player of the Year award in the men’s category from the Confederation of African Football. He won this award for the first time in 2019. Sadia is the first Bayern Munich star and the sixth player to receive this award twice. He also received other awards and honors, individual and group, such as the 2020 IFFHS Best CAF Men’s Player of the Year, 2018–19 Premier League Golden Boot, 2019 FIFA Club World Cup (Liverpool), and many more.
