BGI Ethiopia’s products, St. George Beer and Sen’q Malt win the Global Monde Selection’s Gold Quality Award. The products were the only Ethiopian products to win the 2022 round of assessment in the Beers, Waters, and Soft Drinks category. Monde Selection, one of the World’s Quality Institute, highlights consumer products with unique quality labels by evaluating Beers, Waters, and Soft Drinks.
St. George Beer was founded in 1922 and is Ethiopia’s oldest and most popular beer. It also received the Global Monde Selection’s Silver Quality Award in 2020. Sen’q Malt was introduced in 2020 as BGI’s first non-alcoholic malt beer. The drink is made from caramel, vanilla, Ethiopian coffee, and vitamins.
