Frehiwot Tamru wins Africa’s Most Respected CEO award

The Business Executive is West Africa’s leading periodical magazine covering the economy, business, finance, investment, and socioeconomic development. The Business Executive honors African CEOs in various business sectors for contributions to Africa’s UN SDGs. The magazine also hosts a variety of business forums where private businesses and public institutions such as business regulators and facilitators can network and form partnerships and alliances. For her contributions to Ethiopia’s telecom sector, Business Executive selects Frehiwot Tamru for Africa’s Most Respected CEO award in the telecommunications category.

Frehiwot is Ethio Telecom’s first female CEO who made several improvements to the company and continues to leverage her leadership skills to expand the sector and boost Ethiopia’s economy. She is also the CEO and a board member of her own IT company, Doxa IT Technology PLC. Frehiwot was mentioned in Avance Media’s Top 100 Women African CEOs, presenting the most successful women CEOs from 21 African countries that continue to advance their companies in different sectors in Africa and the world. These women were selected based on profit, sustainability, and influence over their sector, industry, & community.
