Odoo opens a new office in Nairobi, its first in Africa

A Belgian-based software company called Odoo opened a new office in Nairobi, its first in Africa. Odoo provides all-in-one management software to enable companies to achieve their business needs. The company aims to equip SMEs with a fully integrated suite of business applications to boost competitiveness. Odoo has over 7.5 million worldwide users ranging from startup companies to large enterprises. It has installed more business software than any other company.

Odoo’s tools include CRM, e-commerce, billing, accounting, manufacturing, warehouse, project management, and inventory management. The company provides open-source enterprise resource planning services and purchase management applications for creating and tracking purchase orders, managing suppliers’ address books, controlling product reception processes, and verifying supplier invoices. One of Odoo’s goals for Nairobi is to have 250 million Kenyan Shillings, almost €2 million in its first year.
