Sasai Remit and Qoki Zindlovukazi collaborate to boost remittance from the UK to South Africa and Zimbabwe.

April 13, 2022

Sasai Remit is one of Africa’s leading digital money transfer providers that allows migrants to remit to Africa and the rest of the world. Qoki ZiNdlovukazi Community Organisation is a member-driven women’s organization that addresses challenges members, and their communities face in the diaspora and country of origin. The two companies collaborated to boost remittance from the UK to South Africa and Zimbabwe. They held a business conference on April 9, 2022, in Birmingham, UK, to inspire new and seasoned business people to explore new business investment opportunities.

The Zimbabwean Reserve Bank reported that diaspora remittances increased from about $1 billion in 2020 to $1.4 billion in 2021. In the same period, Zimbabwe also hit a record high foreign currency inflows of US$9.7 billion. The partnership allows Africans living in different countries abroad to send money to their families without waiting for hours in the agency offices anymore because the mobile application instantly makes the transfer. The partnership facilitates quicker, easier, and safer cross-border payments using Sasai’s fintech platform. The companies aim to increase access to remittances for more financial inclusion and investment opportunities.
